Dr. States Labrum is passionate about providing comprehensive, patient-centered eye care and building lasting relationships with the people he serves. He enjoys helping patients better understand their eye health and takes pride in providing personalized care for patients of all ages.
Having called Tennessee home since childhood, Dr. Labrum is proud to serve the Upper Cumberland community. He earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from Lipscomb University before receiving his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis. During his education, he earned first place in the school’s inaugural Student Innovator Award Competition and conducted research at Harvard Forest that was later presented nationally.
His clinical training included comprehensive primary eye care, ocular disease management, contact lens care, and dry eye treatment. Dr. Labrum also volunteered with Fellowship of Christian Optometrists, traveling to Central America to provide eye care to underserved communities.
Dr. Labrum is certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry and is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians. At Middle TN Eye, he brings a thoughtful, relationship-focused approach to care, with an emphasis on helping each patient feel informed, comfortable, and confident in their eye health.
